Numerous members here are frustrated with delays and a lack of communication regarding the Whitelaw Brae project. Members want to divest and get their money back, as they prefer to support other eco-projects. There is the suggestion that the board may have the discretion to allow withdrawals before operations begin and that a quorum of members could request a general meeting for updates and potential votes. However, the response they received states that refunds are not available and withdrawal is only possible after two years of operation. Members rightly question how long delays can last before refunds should be considered and criticize the lack of transparency. Some members reference past statements from Ripple about agreements being secured before fundraising, questioning if the process was followed. Ultimately, there is an expressed concern that Ripple might be holding onto funds indefinitely and request clarity on this matter.
Investing in Ripple carries risks, including potentially losing all invested funds. The current state of affairs with Whitelaw Brae ensures that as a member, I could not possibly recommend that someone invest in Ripple.
